Money Transfer

Since long time ago Cambodian people like to send money via taxi and passenger whom they know but later they like to transfer via money exchange shop and banking services. Transfering via money exchange shop is very popular, even now there are many convenient banking services available in Cambodia. A local bank, mobile phone operator and another private company that offer money transfer services via mobile phone but people still satify with money exchange shop's services.

To transfer money via local bank, they charge about $3 for under $1000 amount while the private shop charges only $1 and the receiver will get the money as soon as posible after correctly checked but if they go to bank they need to choose a number and wait then the receiver will get money within one hour later. Most of major money transfer shops in Phnom Penh are located at the west of Olympic market and thousands USD are transfered everday overthere between Phnom Penh and other provinces around Cambodia.
