Cambodia is currently serving a rotating presidency for Asean and also preparing to welcome The US president Barack Obama. President Barack Obama is planning to attend an Asean Summit in Phnom Penh in November 2012. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is expected to attend as well and also for her second visit.
The US State Department's Chief of East Asia and Pacific, Joseph confirm the US president's visit during a meeting with Officers of Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 16 January 2012.
