Places to visits in Rattanakiri

Rattanakiri is located on the northeast of Cambodia, about 600 kilometres from Phnom Penh. It is bordered with Lao and Vietnam and its capital is Banlung. Rattanakiri is well-known as Cambodia's best natural sites for tourism, because it has a lot of places to visit such as ethnic minority villages, jungles, hills, water falls ect.
Boeung Yeak Loam Lake

This beautiful place is located in the middle of mountaints, about 5 kilometres from the downtown. It is a great place for a swim, relax or picnic. The lake is approximately 800 metres in diameter and has a depth of 48 metres and occured because of old centuries of volcano action.


There are many waterfalls in Rattanakiri such as Ka Chanh, Cha Ong and Ka Tieng waterfall. Ka Chanh waterfall is 6 kilometres from Banlung town. The waterfall has a height of 12 metres and flows non-stop along a canal named Ou Kan Teung to Sre Pork River. Cha Ong Waterfall is located in the middle of forests in Cha Ong village, 2 kilometres from Banlung by National Road No. 19. Ka Tieng Waterfall is in Lbang I commune, Lum Phat and about 3 kilometres from Ka Chanh Waterfall.
