Cambodia cancels Water Festival

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Thursday cancelled the Water Festival, the biggest annual festival in Cambodia. The cancellation cause from worst flooding in more than 10 years which made death toll up to 247 and can be dangerous for the racing boats. The budget for preparation the festival will turn to help the families affected from the flooding.

More than two million people enjoy the Water Festival in Phnom Penh every year, which have boat races, lighting boat, firework, concert and goods stores on the roat along the rivers.
