Bangkok Insurance is stepping up its local branch expansion and plans to sell its products in Laos and Cambodia. BKI now has 22 branches and will open one branch each in Prachuap Khiri Khan,Trang and Ayutthaya provinces. Many foreign insurance companies set up their new branches in Cambodia recently including life insurance companies which is the newest service in Cambodia.
Insurance and banking industries are recently boom in Cambodia. There are several banks set up by Chinese and Vietnamese investors joint venture with Cambodian businessmen.
