Cambodian Prime Minister on Tuesday, 12 July 2011, inaugurated the country's first sea-spanning bridge.
The 900-meter bridge connects from the city of Preah Sihanouk to Koh Pos, which is being developed as a high standard tourism destination by a Russia's Koh Pos Cambodia Investment Group Ltd.
The construction, undertaken by Sino-hydro Construction Corporation, cost three years and about 30 million U.S. dollars.
Koh Pos Cambodia Investment Group Ltd. was granted a 99-year lease by Cambodian government to develop Koh Pos in 2006 with the investment of about 420 million U.S. dollars.
